International Students Introduced to Writing System of Karelians

The students from Turkmenistan who study at the Preparatory Faculty of PetrSU visited the touring exhibition on the history of the Karelian writing system.

The students from Turkmenistan who study at the Preparatory Faculty of PetrSU visited the touring exhibition on the history of the Karelian writing system.

Karelia is inhabited by people representing different nationalities who speak Russian and native languages.

The international students of PetrSU learned about the history of the writing system of Karelia and saw the ancient written sources, dictionaries and examples of modern writing systems of the indigenous peoples of Karelia: Veps and Karelian.

The exhibition is located in the Academic building No.1 (Anokhina, 20) and will work until April.
